I cannot remember the last time reading a book encouraged and inspired me to read so many other specific books! Although I’m not surprised because her passion is to connect books to people and vv
No seriously, my TBR list in GoodReads grew by at least 10 books.
This would be great to read in a book club, or pre-marital season or for parents, okay really anyone. Maybe especially if you love personality tests or if you hate them. Ha!
Genuinely this is almost the book I wanted to write in late high school/college. I wanted a book that combined Personality Plus, Meyers-Briggs, Love Languages and Spiritual gifts. Enneagram wasn’t quite popular yet and I had not been introduced to StrengthsFinder either. And then after meeting my husband I also wanted the book to also incorporate virtues.
I enjoyed these two quotes!
1. “Some people resist personality frameworks because they say such frameworks put them in a box. I’ve found that understanding my personality helps me step out of the box I’m trapped in. When I understand myself, I can get out of my own way.”
2. “My personality traits don’t define me; they don’t determine much of what i can and can’t do. My personality traits don’t determine my destiny, but they inform it, and I’ve accepted that.
Also, I’ll just be over here sorting out my Cognitive Function Hierarchy and nailing down my Meyers-Briggs while also delving into Enneagram and sorting out my numbers and wings ;).
